Inlet cleaner

Steel Tech Inlet cleaners are designed and adapted to each project.

The purpose of the Inlet cleaner is to remove vegetation such as moss and leaves from trees that come with the waterflow that is used for the production of power in power plants. Such impurities in the water will block the grate that protects the water intake, which will also lead to a reduced water inflow for power generation.

The protective Inlet is cleaned by a horizontal rake/brush that is clamped on each side of the inlet cleaner being activated either by a pressure drop at the inlet, or it is run for periods of time if necessary.

Waste is carried up and over the top, away from the inlet cleaner.
