Steel Tech AS was established in 2001 and became part of PE Bjørdal in 2018 and was Bjørdal´s R&D arm until 2023 when the company was revitalize and carried on the proud history of PE Bjørdal AS and her duty as one of the cornerstone companies in the small Ørsta community.
Steel Tech has always had a strong customer focus and have together with the fishermen, fish farmers and other customers developed both competence, products and quality mentality since the 1980’s – this is the background for our slogan “Quality is our brand”

Values
It is a genuine objective for Steel Tech owners and management that Steel Tech is a workplace where the employees, the people, look forward to meet every day and enjoy the work. As guidance for the continuous work of maintaining and strengthening the culture, there are defined a set of core values to remind us what we shall be known for and what we shall strive for.
In Norwegian; the initials of each value forms the acronym KART – MAP in english – being the roadmap for our company cultural work.
K – Competence – The Steel Tech management and team shall be known for having the right competence for delivering the quality that our customers expect.
A – Ambitious – Steel Tech shall develop products, solutions and technology that enables our customers to deliver premium quality products produced in a sustainable way. Steel Tech shall also develop the supply chain and own production in order to be the most competitive supplier of high quality products.
R – Respect – Steel Tech management and team shall work in a respectful way both internally and externally. Steel Tech shall maintain and develop a culture were all employees are included.
T – Safety – The Steel Tech working environment shall be safe, clean and efficient and strive for the wellbeing of the employees, value for the shareholders and not least – our customers. We shall keep our promises. With Safety follow also a duty to secure the HSE for our employees, our customers and suppliers.
